LANCOM Systems GmbH is a leading European manufacturer of networking technology and IT security solutions, headquartered in Würselen near Aachen. Founded in 2002, the company emerged from a management buyout of the networking division of the former ELSA AG and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Munich-based technology group Rohde & Schwarz since 2018.

LANCOM offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions for wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), firewalls, as well as cloud-based software-defined networking (SDN). The development and production of both hardware and software take place predominantly in Germany, as does the hosting of the LANCOM Management Cloud.

LANCOM places particular emphasis on security and trustworthiness: its products are free of backdoors and carry the “IT Security Made in Germany” trust label initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. In addition, selected components are certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
