Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Bernd Schwefing

Bernd Schwefing has been Managing Director of Controlware GmbH since 2011. After training in banking, studying economics at the University of Witten/Herdecke and a research stay in Cambridge (MA), Bernd Schwefing held management positions in medium-sized companies in various sectors. When he joined Controlware in 2003, he was initially responsible for controlling/shareholdings, international activities and the acquisition of the subsidiary Networkers AG. In 2007, he was appointed to the Management Board as COO, where he was responsible for technology, sales and marketing. He has been a member of the main board of BITKOM since 2011.

Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Küchen

Michael Küchen joined the Controlware GmbH team as CFO and member of the management board in October 2021. The trained banker and business graduate studied economics in Frankfurt/Main with a focus on corporate finance & accounting. Michael Küchen's expertise is based on a long-standing career at renowned companies. After graduating, he started his career in management consulting in 2005 and worked for KPMG Advisory in Frankfurt and London (Corporate Finance/Transaction Advisory) and Roland Berger (Corporate Finance & Restructuring). In 2016, Michael Küchen switched to the industrial side of the business, joining a leading family-run system partner for capital goods in the construction and handling industry in Europe, whose growth and transformation course he actively supported as Managing Director.

Managing Director, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Marc Wilczek

Marc Wilczek has been a member of the Management Board of Controlware GmbH since January 2025. As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), he is responsible for all sales and marketing activities. Marc Wilczek studied economics and holds an MSc from London Business School and an MBA with a focus on technology management from UNSW Sydney. Born in Wiesbaden, he can look back on more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector and has held management positions at internationally renowned companies - at the interface of strategy, innovation and technology. In addition to founding his own system house, Marc Wilczek has held key roles at Utimaco/Sophos, CompuGroup Medical and T-Systems, among others, and was most recently Managing Director of Link11 GmbH.
