Founded in 1949, Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) and its subsidiaries operate Munich Airport. The Bavarian aviation hub is Germany's second largest airport and the only five-star airport in Europe. As a "full-service operator", it offers services in all areas of airport management. Since its opening in 1992, Munich Airport has been one of the busiest airports in Europe, number two in Germany and today an important air traffic hub of international standing. The rollout project for a new network at Munich Airport
Requirements
- Munich Airport wants to expand and renew its entire campus network.
- Large parts of the LAN infrastructure must be replaced during ongoing operations in the FMG security area. The replacement comprises approx. 1,000 network components.
- Old switches are to be replaced by "state of the art" products from CISCO.
