Since 2011, Bernd Schwefing is CEO of Controlware GmbH. After financial and economic studies at the University of Witten / Herdecke and research stays in Cambridge (MA), Bernd Schwefing held managerial positions at mid-sized companies in different markets. Upon joining Controlware in 2003, he was initially responsible for controlling and international activities. He also led the acquisition of the subsidiary company ‘Networkers AG’, where he entered the board 2006. Since 2011, he is a member of the Hauptvorstand of BITKOM.

Michael Küchen joined the Controlware GmbH team in October 2021 as CFO and member of the management board. The trained banker and business graduate studied economics in Frankfurt/Main with a focus on corporate finance & accounting. Michael Küchen's expertise is based on a long career with renowned companies. After graduating, he started his career in management consulting in 2005 and worked for KPMG Advisory in Frankfurt and London (Corporate Finance/Transaction Advisory) and Roland Berger (Corporate Finance & Restructuring). In 2016, Michael Küchen moved to the industrial side of a leading family-run system partner for capital goods in the construction and handling industry in Europe, whose growth and transformation course he actively accompanied as Commercial Managing Director.
