The QVidiumHD™ 1394 IP Gateway provides the transmitting side of a complete affordable solution for transporting pre-recorded and live high-definition DVCProHD and HDV™ video to nearly any location via an IP network.

A QVidiumHD™ 1394 IP Gateway at a transmitter works in conjunction with QVidium IP receivers at the destination and encapsulates DVCProHD streams and HDV™ MPEG-2 Transport Stream video feeds over a SerialBus IEEE Standard 1394 interface with ARQ or FEC error correction so that the receiver can recover lost packets. This helps insure the highest possible video quality with even through network congestion and dynamic route changes.
