Mission
The new € 645 million Galerie Parisienne extension to terminals 2E and 2F at Charles de Gaulle airport is the largest boarding satellite in France and provides additional capacity for both passengers and planes. Security and safety operations are top priorities for Aéroports de Paris and they are committed to the ongoing improvement and extension of advanced security systems to help protect the airports they control. Having worked closely with the airport authority since 2003 IP specialists Controlware provided a high-quality IP video transmission solution for the new extension.

Solution
The Galerie Parisienne solution adds a further 600 new cameras to the Aéroports de Paris surveillance network that monitors video from over 5,000 cameras. The comprehensive surveillance network includes high quality video transmission, video management and recording systems that help ensure a high level of security is in place to safeguard passengers, airline companies, and partners.

Result
The IP CCTV transmission solution extends the high levels of security inherent in the Aéroports de Paris network to include the new Galerie Parisienne extension.  Operators are able to access, share, and view live and recorded video surveillance from thousands of cameras. Surveillance coverage includes both airside and passenger areas including: luggage sorting, check in desks, access to restricted areas, ATM cash machines, car parks and perimeter monitoring applications. The high quality surveillance ensures that live and recorded video of evidential value is achieved, making identification of suspects more likely and helping to secure Aéroports de Paris network of airports.
